Create your student account
Sign up as a student with your email or Google, then confirm your email and phone.

- Set your gender: rooms are for male, female or any students

Hosts see who they're renting to before they approve you.

Book a viewing (optional)
See the room before you commit.
- Pick a date, a time between 09:00 and 17:00, and a backup date
- A viewing costs GHS 50

Reserve your room
Choose Reserve on a room type and set up your stay.
- Pick a check-in date (from tomorrow onwards) and how long you'll stay
- Pay in full, or in installments if the host offers them
- See the full price before paying: rent, any extra fee, service fee and deposit

Agree and pay
Read the host's tenancy agreement, accept it, then pay securely.
- Pay with Mobile Money or card through Paystack, a saved method, or your Purchet wallet
- Finish paying within 30 minutes, or the checkout is cancelled

Wait for the host to confirm
Your paid booking goes to the host as Pending.
- The host has 20 hours to approve
- If the host declines or doesn't respond, you're refunded automatically
- Payment failed? Retry it from your booking without starting over

Manage your booking
Everything about your stay is under My bookings.

- Extend your stay, or cancel if plans change

Questions students ask
Is it free to use Purchet?
Browsing and creating an account are free. A service fee is added when you book, and you see it in the price summary before you pay.
What happens if the host never answers?
If the host doesn't approve your paid booking within 20 hours, it expires and you're refunded automatically.
How do I know a listing is real?
Every listing is reviewed by the Purchet team before it appears in search. Check the host's verification and other students' reviews too.
Why can't I see some rooms?
Rooms set for a specific gender only show to students of that gender, and some properties only accept students from certain universities.
Can I pay in parts?
Yes, when the host offers installments. Choose the plan at checkout; the due dates are listed in your agreement.
